2021 Soccer Season Will soccer resume in Prescott in 2021? That is a good question and the answers are not easy. As we battle the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic of upmost importance is the safety of our players, coaches, referees and spectators. The questions are many and we don’t have answers yet, but we are seeking advice from the health experts as to what is allowed and what is not. And as you know this can change daily. In addition to the advice from the heal...th experts, we use the fields owned by the Upper Canada District School Board and will have to comply with their rules and regulations also. So stay tuned, either through our website or Facebook page and we will keep you updated as we are. An organization such as ours does not run by itself and we are looking for volunteers for all positons on the Executive as two long standing members will be stepping back. Coaches and referees are also fundamental to the success of our program.

PDSA player registrations refunds In order for us to provide consistent recordkeeping we have decided to issue all registration refunds by cheque. These cheques were mailed on Tuesday, May 26th. Due to mail volumes that Canada Post is experiencing you might not receive your cheque for a couple of weeks. If you have not received your refund cheque by June 12th please email us at [email protected] or reach out to a Executive member. Thank you, stay safe and see you in 2021.

The Prescott and District Soccer Association is sad to announce that the 2020 Soccer Season is cancelled. We had hoped to be able to provide part of our program to the many area children who rely on our Association as their summer event, but unfortunately, as this pandemic and its restrictions continues, the window of opportunity closes. For those who registered at the March 14th registration (and after) we will be providing full refunds as follows: - Those that provided che...ques - these cheques were not deposited and will now be destroyed. - Those that paid through eftransfer - an etransfer directly back into your account will occur this week - Those that paid cash - a cheque will be issued and mailed this week - To our Sponsors, who we rely on and appreciate support, we will contact each of you by email. Parents and Soccer Players Your PDSA Executive, like all of you have been monitoring the current situation regarding COVID-19. Premier Doug Ford, made the following announcement yesterday (March 30): "Based on the best medical advice available, we are taking further steps today to protect the health and safety of all Ontarians by closing outdoor recreational amenities, like sports fields and playgrounds, and extending our emergency orders to save lives. We all need to work t...ogether and do our part to stop COVID-19 by staying home, practising physical distancing, and avoiding social gatherings." This is in effect until April 13, 2020. We will continue to follow this and provide information regarding the 2020 Soccer season. Registrations are not required at this time until further information is available. Stay strong. We are all in this together!!!!
