Extended deadline! Submit to our themed issue 59.3. Deadline Nov 30! SCAB. Not quite broken, not quite mended. A reminder of what was, and what will be. Scabs protect our wounds, and yet the temptation to pick at them and peel them off is always there. They call attention to what is already disappearing, and we don’t yet know if they will leave a scar. Scabs are a reminder that healing can be a long, ugly process.

It's as if Neil Surkan was reading our minds with this review of Susan Alexander's "Nothing You Can Carry": "In the necropastoral, each environmental and human catastrophe slides closer to apocalypse. The world appears as an obscene, degraded version of its former self." and yet...... "the speakers ... savour what’s now and keep nothing for later.
