PUMP OUT YOUR BILGE !! PUMP OUT YOUR TENDER !! Vessel owners sometimes forget to check to make sure their bilge pumps are operational. Open the hatch over bilge pumps during vessel visit and activate by hand to make sure the switch is operating without fail. ... Check your tender and make sure it is not filling up with rain water which can overwhelm Freeboard and sink Tender. Modern Float Switches on automatic pumps can fail. If you have a wooden hull vessel i recommend you put a cycle counter or Hobbs Meter on your Bilge Pump and log the number every time you visit your vessel at moorage. This will let you know if there has been an unusual number of automatic pump outs - which can impact battery life - and if battery gets discharged by too many bilge pump cycles .... Duh -Duh - Duuuuuuuhhhhhh
Today I had the opportunity to do a survey at Campbell River Mill Docks and this was tied up on the other side of the Quay I wonder what the purpose of the PINwheel is ?? I drove home dreaming that I had purchased and now ran a Boat Yard that employed these as robotic vessel lifts. Silly thoughts in the rain ...

interesting gCaptain - Your voice is getting stronger and louder - you were right about the structure of higher ups after several USN incidents at sea - and after the 2016 election the structure changed and now USN personnel actually command the USN - SO - is the same thing here - gCaptain speaks quiet truth and yet another UN funded department is exposed as a fraud ???
The best professional membership I have - ABYC renewal certificate arrived today - ABYC is the very best outfit for professional development and education for anyone involved in the marine industry- American Boat & Yacht Council - ABYC

The loss of Arctic Fox II is sad - and this loss touches Powell River as many of my circle are telling me about their deep involvement with her since she came from Scotland https://www.cheknews.ca/arctic-fox-ii-a-19-year-old-male-i/

PR Marine Surveyors is deemed part of the essential services business functions as marine survey reports relates to insurance and finance - having said that - If you can postpone your haul out or my visit to your vessel for a time when the community is less strained that would be appreciated ...... There is a different way of doing business currently - 1. Please open vessel and leave til visit is completed. 2. Please do not shake hands or huddle for discussion. 3. I will wear disposable gloves when accessing certain aspects of vessel. 4. If your vessel has been out of country in the last month please let me know how long it is been since someone who was out of country in the last 15 days, has been aboard. These can be two different issues and need to be looked at both together and apart. to repeat - If you can postpone your haul out or my visit to your vessel for a time when the community is less strained that would be appreciated ... Thank you
Ubiquity - it is Everywhere https://www.boatinternational.com//coronavirus-quarantined
CoVid 19 - so called Corona Virus - PR Marine Surveyors is operational and serving clients - There are documents to complete - Surveys booked and research on going as usual - Most times I am working by my self on your vessel ... Most times there is no actual physical contact with the owner- In the event that I must be in your presence or in the presence of your agents - We will all do our best to have minimal contact and hand washing after contact if we must touch - Hand shaking and other physical points of contact will not be required - We are glad to see you - and we come in peace -
Thanks for posting
