To all our students and clients: Amid the concerns around the Coronavirus, Progressive Driving School would like to provide you with the latest update on our response and commitment to the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and students. As of Monday the 23rd of March, our office will be closed for an indefinite period of time.... To contact our office on any matter, please email us ([email protected]) as it will be checked on a regular basis. Current students can contact their instructors via text on any issues they may have regarding lessons. For the safety and health of our students and instructors, taking a lesson at this time is not advised. Students and instructors should always keep open communication with each other during the coming weeks and with the reasonable notice given, either side can cancel lessons without penalty. Students with road test appointments already booked should monitor their situation with DriveTest (https://drivetest.ca).

In memory of Dick Willson: It was with great sadness that Progressive Driving School has learned of the recent passing of one of its former instructors and colleagues, Richard ‘Dick’ Willson. Peter Keddie the owner of the school said that Dick gave great loyal service to Progressive Driving for twenty-five years Dick was the first instructor I hired, and was a very patient, empathetic and kind teacher to all his students. He had qualities of what is now mostly absent in b...usiness, with his values, ethics and integrity, and went a long way to making Progressive Driving the school it is today. He will be missed by all his former associates and past students, and I personally will miss his presence. Unfortunately, most of the driving instructors in Thunder Bay over the last few years may not have known Dick and his commitment in trying to make Thunder Bay’s roads safer, they are the poorer for this and could well take a minute to reflect on him advancing driver education in Thunder Bay.
