We have increased cleaning and sanitizing processes throughout our facilities, restricted on-site visitors, restricted in-person meetings and travel as health and safety remains our priority. We are taking all necessary precautions while continuing to operate.

Some of our day shift staff came in to work extra hours this Saturday morning. Our afternoon shift worked extra hours Friday night as well. We have hit a busy period. A special thanks to both crews for coming in during their time off to help stay on top of increased customer demands.

This is our before and after of the part in the previous posted video. This is a hardened steel part that required narrow slots put into it after heat treat.

The cutting wire never touches the material, the cutting itself is due to the erosion that occurs when a spark forms between the cutting wire and raw material. The EDM process allows for high accuracy, particularly for complex, precise shapes that are hard to machine. It can be used for any conductive material, including hardened work pieces and metals that are challenging for traditional machining techniques.

To machine weldments accurately and efficiently we have to machine them in our rotary. Machining as many features in one holding as possible. We also use our probing system to accurately pickup the location of the part. Every one of our vertical CNC Mills has a probing system.

Thank you to all of our staff and customers who helped make 2019 another successful year at Progressive Machining. A special thank you to the staff that came in to work over the last week. They performed preventative maintenance on all of our CNC machines. To minimize break downs so we can better serve our customers. Here are some pictures of some staff caught in action. They are putting the finishing touches on jobs today so we can deliver to our customers on time.

Trevor Schwartz is recognized for his 10+ years of dedicated service. Here he shows his 10 yearlong service wrist watch presented by Company President Bill Cook. Trevor will also enjoy 4 weeks of paid vacation this year.

A BIG thank you to Mark Zawadzki, Chris Morrison and Craig Musselman. They have been an integral part of Progressive Machining over the last 4 years. They have helped us to meet our customer's expectations day after day. Today we show recognition for their service and congratulate them on receiving a third week of paid vacation!

As our company grows so does our cargo and the need to ship it in all weather. So we say goodbye to the GMC pickup truck and say hello to our Ford Transit van. Hopefully you will see it soon!
