Public events are slowly (and safely) openning up at the Farm. Here's what's happening in June. :)

Our lovely Hy-line Brown hens are laying over 5 dozen eggs each day. With fresh greens added to their diet, Kristin reports these, chickens have a much better attitude and seem calm and content. Each morning she gathers, washes, crates and carts the delicious free-range eggs up to the front Farm Stand. There, faithful customers are able to add them to their grocery basket for $5 a dozen. On Monday’s there is an abundance of eggs and in August we are expecting to add a new flock of 200 hundred birds to satisfy the demand for these nutritious gems.

Announcing a change of address: Mocha, Strawberry and Blackie, our therapeutic bunnies, are moving into their new home this week! Jordan and Danny have built a roomy new hutch just beside the workshop at St. Ann’s Garden Club. Once they are settled and everyone returns to the Farm we will host a House Warming Party to celebrate. They hope to see you soon.

Our Farm Stand has a bounty of delicious spinach, kale, greens, rhubarb... and plants, plants, plants! We have lots of perennials as well as some annuals - ornamentals and edibles. Our Farm Stand is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, and it is located on the round-about in front of Providence House. Thanks for shopping locally!

The St. Ann’s Garden Club staff are diligently working in the raised beds, preparing soil to receive seeds and transplanted shoots. These vegetables will be tenderly raised, harvested and used to prepare the nourishing daily meals for our seniors once they return to their program.

Spring is in full bloom at Providence Farm! Segues' staff are out in the gardens: preparing beds, planting vegetables and flowers, and tending the shoots as they burst to life You'll see us mowing, edging and working to keep the lawns of St. Ann’s garden looking lovely. We're weeding the rose garden, caring for the bunnies, and delighting in the asparagus shoots peeking through the permaculture along the fence line. These are a few of the things that keep Segues crew busy.

Volunteers are a core part of the therapeutic community at Providence Farm. We are ever grateful for their generous contributions! It is volunteer appreciation week... and we sure do appreciate our volunteers!!

Programs are closed, though our Farm Stand is OPEN! Our therapeutic, on-site group programming is not occurring at this time, though Farm staff are creatively exploring offering continuing support to the participants of our Therapeutic Community. We are grateful for the support of our Greater Community and ask continued patience while we work on new structures. ... Our Farm Stand includes eggs, as well as produce & plants, as we are able to offer. It is open from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Thanks for your support, and for the hens that continue to lay!
