Over the last couple of months, we have felt prompted to engage with our community in a different type of setting. We are so thankful for the ways in which we already have the privilege of spending time with you all, whether it is on a Monday night at our evening prayer, or on Sunday afternoons at the church. But we wanted to spend more time seeking God together, being in His presence in worship and praying with and for each other. Our hope is that our community and the Metr...o Vancouver area will feel welcome to come together for these nights of corporate worship, prayer and the Word. Tonight we were delighted to watch The African Children's' Choir perform Live at Horizon Church in Surrey. We thank them for hosting such an incredible group of kids. The African Children’s Choir program promotes the beauty, dignity and unlimited ability of the African child around the world, being a voice for the millions of suffering children who cannot speak for themselves. The program provides for the children’s well being and quality education, utilizing the transformative power of music.

SRI LANKA A wave of bombings across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday killed 321 people and injured hundreds more. Authorities have arrested 40 people. We stand together in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka and pray for great comfort to the nation at this time of national tragedy. We are thankful that our own global worker families are all safe, but pray for those from the community and from Zion Pentecostal Church who are suffering loss and injury. The General Superintendent ...of the Assemblies of God of Sri Lanka, Rev. Michael Dissanayake, and the leaders from the Pentecostal Assemblies of Sri Lanka are asking us to stand with them in prayer. The Pentecostal church in the East of the country is known to those who have worked with the PAOC in Sri Lanka. There are families who lost their children. We ask you all to pray for peace and calm, and for the government to have wisdom in handling the situation. Pray also for the church to be united in tragedy, for the grieving families, and for Christians to have courage and hope. See more
