Peterborough Paramedics & Beyond 10.11.2020

Today we cancelled our trip to Grand Goave, Haiti due to the countries unrest and violence. Our team will miss what has become a special time for those who hav...e traveled with us over the last five years. Some of the reasons we keep going back are found in the pictures posted. Thank you to those who supported us with money, supplies and time to be taken with us on our next trip, February 19-26, 2020. Its time to start planning again!

Peterborough Paramedics & Beyond - Haiti team are to leave for Haiti next Wednesday. It is still uncertain if we will be able to go at all. There is civil unr...est due to gas shortages as the result of government non payment. It is our prayer we will have our feet on the ground in Haiti next week. Please pray for our team as we continue to prepare. Pray for an assurance that God is working things out for our good. Pray we will remain focused on the task at hand with the preparation needed. Pray for safety for those of Hope Grows as they continue to serve the people in Grand Goave. Since my first trip to Cambodia I found this slogan that has meant a lot to me and one I have continued to use and pursue because it is how we need to operate. It says, "Faith sees the invisible; Believes the incredible; Receives the impossible. We continue to trust in the God of the impossible!

Peterborough Paramedics & Beyond are excited to once again send a team with Hope Grows February 20-27, 2019 on our 6th trip to Haiti. It is our intention to once again bring a glimmer of hope to the people of this community and surrounding area in Grand Goave. Our role this year will be restocking the clinic pharmacy with medications as well as assisting the nurse and doctor where needed and providing medical aid to those in the community. Our team will distribute humanitaria...n supplies and assist with whatever work needs to be done at the Hope Grows compound. Would you consider Walking With Us in Haiti by partnering with us financially so we can meet our obligations to those at Hope Grows and the surrounding community? If you do not require a receipt simply e-transfer your donation to [email protected] . If a receipt is required, go online to hopegrows.ca, click donate now and in the message line type, Peterborough Paramedics & Beyond. Peterborough Paramedics & Beyond thank you in advance for your generosity and walking with us in Haiti this February.

It is also their plan to help financially support a local nurse and doctor who now work at the clinic. How does it work? 7 teams of 10 axe throwers per team One ...of the team members becomes the team leader. They will initially sign up their team under the 911 Community time slot of 4 pm-7 pm with a team name and pay their $35 online with the Ptbo Axe Club at https:// www.ptboaxe.com/911-challenge/ When the team leader has registered each team member is responsible (10 in total - team leader included) to individually register online under their team leader and pay their $35 online until the 10 spots are filled.
