Our beloved This Ain't Hollywood has officially announced the sale of the building after 11 wonderful years on the corner of James and Murray yesterday, and though our hearts are heavy with the knowledge that we are losing yet another iconic Hamilton event venue, we know that living in uncertain times will undoubtedly force us all to adapt to ever-changing situations as the world we once knew materializes into something different. The fond memories we’ve cultivated over the y...ears in this bar will undoubtedly last our lifetimes, and we will hold them dearly in our hearts with all the gratitude to Lou Molinaro and the gang for creating such an amazing space for us all to thrive in, create joy, and blow off our steam. Your acceptance and encouragement with open arms of everyone from every walk of life in the arts and entertainment community has been truly exceptional - you have given us all so much - and we will love you forever for that. The epic tales of late night dancing, antics and debauchery will live on in our thoughts and tales of a world that once was. We keep our fingers crossed that there might be a window of hope to share one last event with you in July before the building changes hands in early August, but if we find ourselves still locked down, we were so grateful for even having the chance to at one point call you home. We love you This A’int! The very fabric of Hamilton’s live scene will definitely not be the same without you moving forward, and we wish you all the best of luck with your future endeavours and hope to see your faces round town when we are all able to step outside and hug each other again. Gone, but never, ever forgotten, this end of an era is so bittersweet. THANK YOU FOR THE RADNESS, THIS A’INT HOLLYWOOD.

UGH. This suuucks. After 15 shows last year, 2020 has been a real bummer and WE MISS YOU ALL LIKE CRAZY! We can’t wait to get loud and rowdy with you all again This Ain't Hollywood when we’re able to again - but for now, we’re happy to see everyone staying safe and looking out for each other. WHILE WE WAIT IT OUT, WE WANT TO HEAR WHAT YOU MISS ABOUT THE PUNK ROCK FLEA! Tell us your favourite memories so we can all share together in these trying times. ... We miss the lineups of eager friends waiting patiently for their grab bags and first pick at the loot, as we scramble to open the doors first thing in the morning. The smells coming from the kitchen when we have guest chefs, and the bangin tunes by Broken Mohawk of Hammer City Records. The laughs all day long with the kids running amok getting glitter glue all over everything. We miss being able to raise funds for our local charities in need. We miss meeting new friends and our faithful local peeps who keep supporting us time and time again. And as a team, we also miss each other so much. This silence is deafening. Help us fill it with your stories!!
