We are here for both options. But all Pumpkin spice mania aside, pumpkin is flipping delicious and that spice is just saying all the yes to warming spices like cinnamon and clove!... Mushrooms can divide a room sometimes, right? Those who love them. Those who don’t love them. Maybe a couple who tolerate them! Spotlight on these fungi because these little unassuming buds have also been affected by COVID 19.... The pandemic has brought on a high demand for them in the kitchen, but there is a lack of labour for their cultivation at a farm level thanks to the virus. So here we are. Talking about mushrooms. We use them in our burger patties and gravy. We still have them now, but it’s always good to remember the bigger picture of how goods get to your plate and to appreciate the hard-working farmers & delivery drivers who bring them to the hard-working chefs who turn them in deliciousness for us so we can do the things we love to do. Can we hear it for our farmers and frontline workers?! Another reason to support local whenever possible and accessible! #purekitchenottawa
