We love our mechanics!! Michael Vaughan said it best: "Dustin Smilar has truly turned the shop around and has been doing a great job in my opinion. Jim Alford’s expert knowledge of our tankers and the work he has done on B1004/TB0004/TP0004 is nothing sort of exceptional. Brodie DeJager’s get 'er done mentality is awesome. Will get down and dirty in the yard with mud or snow and does it like a champ. Jason Colley has done a lot of work on my truck today and has done it with a smile on his face and not a negative thing to say. That is infectious to the people around him and you can tell by the morale in the shop."

Big thanks to our amazing employees! YOU are the reason that some of the largest operators in Canada have chosen us as their transportation partners for the next few years. We are modernizing the trucking industry. Kurt, our President, has always proudly said that we are the most sophisticated trucking company in the oilfield and this is as true now as it has ever been. Paul, our CEO, always emphasizes that the successes we are experiencing have less to do with what upper management does and FAR more to do with what our operations and administrative teams do on a day-to-day basis. THANK YOU!

PVT is proud to announce that we have been nominated for the 2020 Energy Excellence Awards. Over 90 nominations were received across 12 subcategories: PVT was nominated under the "Technology / Digital Oilfield" category because of the leading edge technologies that we have adopted in the field and in the office in support of customer transparency and internal collaboration. The successful onboarding of each of these apps - Payload, Basecamp, iScout, GeoTrack, Trakopolis, Power BI - would be impossible without your willingness to accept and adapt to changes. So, thank you! We will keep you posted with our progress leading up to the awards in May!

Reception received an email earlier this month: "I was stranded on HWY 40 south of GP March 1st 2020 at about 3pm and the snow slush made me go in the ditch. I was carrying precious cargo: my 2 children under the age of 4 and my wife. I live in Grande Cache and had my Costco order in the back. Some nice chap was driving a white half ton with PVT logo went out of his way and pulled my family out of the ditch so we can be home together in one piece. I'm not sure of his name but he is a saint in our eyes. My point is you have a great employee please thank your employee for his hard work and dedication." Kris Orpen, a PVT Field Supervisor, was the man responsible for lending a helping hand to this stranded family. We couldn't be prouder of this kind act!

This is by far the clearest and most succinct video explaining #COVID19 and created by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Hopefully this offers some clarity in these confusing times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtN-goy9VOY

What are you reading? I'm hoping to take advantage of this time and read some books I've had lying around for some time...are you planning on catching up on some good books? Maybe an audiobook?

Have you tried a video conference yet? We tried one on Wednesday and at first I wrote it off as a failure because it took way longer (technical difficulties) and frankly we spent a lot of time giggling at each other. But Kirsten pointed out how healthy that was and how much she had needed that and I realized how great I had also felt after that call too. We're using Microsoft Teams right now for video (muted) and using the join.me conference line on our phone. It's not as s...imple as I'd hoped, but it works. In Microsoft Teams there's even the option to blur your background so you don't end up like the guy in this video.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbhMgvvcL4g&feature=youtu.be Have you tried a video conference yet? Will you? Let us know!
