Today we are excited to introduce to you, our First Year Reps, Konain Younus and Shaynah Tahir. These two individuals have been working extremely hard since joining our team, especially on planning the AMAZING events for D4SI (APPS DUE TMW)! They will be running one of the activities at the event and have been working hard with our conference team to make sure everything is perfect for our dels! Shaynah has had lots of previous non profit and volunteer experience, her favou...rite being , with a children’s organization named Moorelands! I began as a participant in the after-school program myself when I was around 11. I become a volunteer and then eventually, a program leader. The organization has been a part of my life for now around 6 years and it’s been amazing to give back directly to the organization that fostered my success! As well, Konain also has lots of experience, one being his work with. Rotary Canada. With them we were able to host a plethora of events on a local and international stage, helping out individuals within improvised nations and local homeless shelters. The experience attained through Rotary truly helped me allocate my vision toward working with non profits to foster positive change whilst attaining profit. We can not wait for you to meet our frosh at D4SI and look forward to say what the future holds for these two!

If you were wondering what the time commitment for D4SI was going to look like, then here you go! Although D4SI will be run over 3 days this year, the commitment is still relatively flexible for students, with approximately 3 hours on Thursday and Friday and then a full day Saturday. We are SO excited for this event and hope you are too! ... **If you are in need of a more in depth schedule or have questions about the time commitment of the conference please feel free to reach out to us!

This amazing group of speakers will be discussing their experiences in the non profit sectors and educating our delegates over the course of the three days! We can not wait to see you at the event and wanted to stress that the conference is open to internal and EXTERNAL delegates. Hence, you DO NOT have to attend Queens to come to D4SI!!
