ALMOST TIME to take off the snow/winter tires. Everyone will want to take their winter tires off in the next two to three weeks once the weather starts getting better. IMPORTANT: If you received a discount from your car insurance company for having winter tires, make sure you check the date which they state is the earliest you can remove them, otherwise you might be at risk of having problems with your claim should you get into an accident.

QUEENSTON TIRE Employees Help Police Catch 2 Thieves. Two of my employees, Richard and Sascha, while working on customer tires on Saturday spotted 2 people looking into cars and trying to open unlocked doors at the Holiday Inn next door. My Manager, Dave, and I went to investigate but they had already left. We called hotel security and when one security person came over, we spotted the thieves heading into Burger King across the street. A few minutes later, a man staying a...t the hotel came over to let us know his passport had been taken from his vehicle since security told them we may have a lead. While he was on the phone with the police, I went over to Burger King with my video camera on my phone turned on to see if they were still there and get a better description of them but they had left. Although we were busy during this time period, we checked our own shop cameras and spotted them and what they were wearing. My manager also checked out behind our building where they had been spotted on the camera and found 5 bags of stolen goods. When the police arrived, we showed them the video and they did a thorough search of the area and caught the thieves. I hope they recovered the stolen passports. The police had been looking for them on 12 separate occasions in the past month but never found them by the time the crimes were reported. I want to congratulate my staff for being observant and taking the time to help others instead of ignoring what they saw taking place. See more

This has been an extremely busy winter season and a snow flake has hardly hit the ground. Unfortunately, we cannot handle all the phone calls coming into the shop so please keep trying or come in and someone will serve you. Although we are one of the few tire shops that takes appointments, please understand that we cannot always run on time and we may be delayed up to 45 minutes at times so please time other appointments you may have that day accordingly. We apologise for any inconvenience but we will not sacrifice the quality of our work to rush the jobs through.

Winter season is already here. He have a great selection of New and Used tires. Don't wait to put on your winter tires for 2 reasons. 1. The best grades of used tires and the best priced new tires sell out quickly by the time we get the first snow fall. 2. If you're getting a discount on your insurance because you told them you have winter tires, each insurance company has a date which your winters must be installed by (usually Nov. 01 to Nov. 15)

VERY IMPORTANT: Whenever you have any service done to your vehicle and the wheels have been removed and then bolted back on, please have your lug nuts re-torqued within 80 km. This is a highly recommended procedure to ensure that your lug nuts have not loosened for any reason. Return your vehicle to the place of service or if you have your own torque wrench, find out the proper torque setting for your vehicle. If you are heading out of town and cannot take your vehicle in to your local auto shop, then stop at any garage at around 80 km on your way to have them re-torque your lug nuts.

IMPORTANT: When switching over you winter tires to your summer/all season tires, make sure you re-torque your lug nuts within 80 km or go back to the shop you had them installed and request they re-torque them for you. In the G.T.A., O.P.P. report that last season 175 tires came off vehicles while driving down the highway. The O.P.P. report there have already been 30 cases during tire change over this season.
