I updated my office space this weekend and I’m very happy with the results!

Phew I’m back! I have very limited space for 1 or 2 new or returning clients. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in a spot. I am doing phone or in person sessions (no video conferencing at this time).

We love how EMDR therapy truly touches people's lives and helps them through the hurdles of past trauma. https://people.com/health/evan-rachel-wood-trauma-therapy/

Happy first day of Spring from QCC! Spring is such an amazing time of transformation. It feels fitting to announce that I will not be accepting any new clients until 2020 as I ease into maternity leave starting in the summer. I look forward to opening up my practice to new clients some time next year.

May I recognize my limits compassionately.

Some critical thoughts about the traditional mental health system that ring true to me as a professional who has worked both within and outside the mental health system. There is definitely a huge lack of information and focus on how the brain actually heals...which obviously it does! There is finally some wonderful research on it. And yes, not everyone needs psychotherapy! We should not force people to try healing methods that they don’t feel comfortable with just because these methods are privileged by white, colonial society - these methods can actually be damaging in certain situations. There are lots of wonderful alternative methods out there.

Three great relational exercises to try for Valentine’s day! Number three is my personal favorite.

Most commonly we hear the claim that we must love ourselves before we can love another but I always come back to this truth - the deep capacity of relational healing. #openup #connect #createcommunity
