I have been absent from FB for a long while. It took a pandemic to prompt me posting again! With the idea of 6 degrees of separation in mind, we probably all know someone at this point who has been touched by COVID-19. I have had a number of clients reach out during this time for wills and powers of attorney during these dangerous times. It is more important than ever to have your affairs in order. Although law firms are an essential service and we are still operating, it has... been challenging to know how to continue serving our clients while respecting social distancing and isolation for our own safety and the safety of others. The Ontario Government has passed legislation allowing for special rules regarding the way wills and powers of attorney are executed to accommodate during this pandemic. The Law Society of Ontario has also provided guidance in this regard. If you do not have a will or powers of attorney, or they need updating, you can visit my website to download a questionnaire which can be emailed to me and I will draft the documents you need and arrange for execution at a greatly reduced rate. I'm excited to share with you that I'm working on a book to be published later this year. I am collaborating with a few ladies on a couple of chapters and once ...that is done, it will be ready for publishing. As a little preview to the book coming out, I will be posting videos starting next week, on how the laws of the universe intersect with the laws of man. We need to be aware of and honour both. We have moved again! As I am in the process of launching an online business, I have moved back into my home office. I will be meeting clients by appointment only at our satellite location at 7694 Islington Avenue in Woodbridge. I will keep you posted about new initiatives and exciting events coming this spring!
