Quispamsis Tennis Annual General Meeting (AGM) Sunday, May 23rd @ 700PM via Zoom. This year we will continue our tennis service to our community in spite of what may be an additional challenging tennis season. Hopefully things will calm down this summer. ... That being said we would like to invite you to our 2021 AGM via Zoom on Sunday, May 23rd at 7:00 PM. For all those junior tennis players and parents who play tennis at our QT programs, you know Cade Nadeau is one of our coaches. Some may also know he’s an exceptional tennis player. Well he is going to play tennis for a university in the US in the highly competitive NCAA division. Here is an article worth reading. Cade is the second junior from QuispamsisTennis to go play university tennis in the US on a scholarship! (Who will be the 3rd?) Cade will be coaching at our QPlex courts this summer.

After a summer of training and competing in our sport the Development Team made a strong showing this season to arrive at a close 2nd in the league. WTG Team Quispamsis!

Some exciting tennis last week at our QPlex courts! And this Wednesday, Aug 12th, our QT Development Team plays in the league season final at Shamrock park at 1:00 PM.

Hello Tennis Players and Parents, We are now taking registrations for our tennis season for 2020. Our Tennis season is expected to start June 15th. All the details are described in our newsletter which you can link to below in this email. Also from that newsletter you can link to our online registration process. Simply follow the instructions in the newsletter to register and pay for your children. This season your Quispamsis Tennis coaches and instructors have worked hard... to offer you and your families several quality tennis learning experiences. We have taken specialized training to help us deal with the challenges of coaching within our COVID 19 restrictions. (Please note all these plans are dependent on continued progress by our Province through the Covid 19 Phased restart process. Also we will require the approval of the Town prior to the start of any of our programs.) Chris and Cade will be back coaching this season, and we have a new instructor hired for the summer, Charlotte Knappe, will begin work on June 15th. Charlotte comes to us with a wealth of competitive sport experience and a wonderful personality to help us deliver outstanding tennis programs this season. Charlotte is currently attending UNBSJ. As I said earlier, we have made significant steps to make registration easier for parents this season. No paper forms to fill out or cheques to write and mail in. Hello Tennis Players and Tennis Parents; Finally the QPlex tennis courts are open! They opened this year after a very long winter and with playing conditions we have never seen before nor could we have ever imagined. ... ***Please review the video linked at the bottom of this post to familiarize yourself with the new tennis playing guidelines. (We expect these will be relaxed somewhat over the next few weeks but it is important that we adhere to these new Tennis NB guidelines to ensure the town keeps the facility open for our use.) Last year was a busy and successful season for our junior programs. We had excellent coaching results during our 3 seasons of tennis, Spring After-School, Summer and Fall After-school programs. Also we implemented with the assistance of Tennis NB a well received Junior Team Tennis League program at our club. We also partnered with the Fundy Region Tennis Association and UNBSJ to offer a limited indoor tennis program last winter. ***This year's playing conditions have changed drastically but we still intend to reach out and provide a robust and Covid safe program for our juniors. Chris and Cade Nadeau along with myself will provide the coaching for our junior programs and we expect to hire one other coach for our Summer Programs. Also we are hopeful to have support from Tennis NB similar to what we have had in coaching support in previous years. The Quispamsis Tennis club is working with Tennis NB’s guidance to develop our June through August programming for all our junior players. We’ll be making announcements next week around the details of our programs for this season. In the meantime, it will be important that everyone follow the tennis playing guidelines agreed to by the Town in order to keep the facility open.
