Local Hazelnuts at Ralph's Farm Market! Full of nutrients, hazelnuts are a great local winter staple here at our market. Local walnuts are just around the corner! We recommend enjoying hazelnuts fresh or roasted. Here’s a simple recipe to roast at home:... 1. Pre-heat oven to 300F 2. Place Hazelnuts on a cookie sheet 3. Bake for 30 minutes 4. Turn off oven and leave inside for 1 hour 5. Enjoy!

Jenny and Sara ventured to Vancouver Island last weekend and enjoyed the farm experience at Morningstar Farm. This family owned and operated farm connects us to our local selections of Little Qualicum Cheeseworks Cheese! Morning Star Farms is located in Parksville and is a local food hub featuring self-guided tours, a farmgate store, seasonal "calfé", a petting farm, trails, and Canada's first "milk on tap" dispenser.
