Ok, we'll jump on the Bernie bandwagon.... (everyone could probably use a little laugh right now) Scaffolding has been disassembled and removed... Time for us to clean up from the construction, and begin the process to fill up the Wilsons Aquatic Centre pool! Good Morning, Unfortunately with the extension of the COVID restrictions from the Holidays, the MHL has had to postpone some of their games. This includes the Truro Junior 'A' Bearcats home games that were originally scheduled for the 16th, 22nd and 23rd at the RECC. The MHL continue to work on rescheduling their games, so season ticket holders please hold on to your tickets for now.... Anyone who purchased individual passes will be refunded automatically if they were purchased online, anyone who purchased in person is eligible for a refund at the outlet at which they purchased their tickets originally. Thank you to everyone for their continued patience and their support this season.

Registration is now open for "Fit in Six" with Shawn Fit in six, is a six week program for youth to learn the fundamentals of strength training using the circuit in the fitness centre. A perfect way to lay the foundation for youth on how to work out safely and correctly with focus on proper technique/form, fitness centre etiquette, correct breathing and what constitutes a well-rounded workout routine. Hey Everyone! Just thought we would take a minute to update everyone on the status of the Wilsons Aquatic Centre. Our RECC staff are just as anxious as everyone else to reopen our aquatics facility again, but unfortunately over the last few months COVID-19 has continued to delay the progress of the project team who have been on site making upgrades. We are currently anticipating reopening in approximately 6 weeks barring any additional unforeseen circumstances. ... We’d like to thank everyone for their continued patience. COVID-19 has affected everyone differently, and our entire facility and industry was particularly impacted. We will continue to align with governmental guidelines to ensure that everyone who visits our facility has a safe and enjoyable experience. The setbacks from COVID-19 are temporary, and we are committed to reopening the entire facility for all of the residents of Truro/Colchester to enjoy. , ! ! The MHL have released a statement for those who purchased tickets for the Bearcats home games on Jan 2nd, 8th or 9th. Due to the restrictions put in place yesterday by the Provincial Government in regards to organized sports over the Holidays, these games are now postponed. Keep in mind the game for tomorrow night is still a go! ... (Season ticket holders can being their Jan 16th tickets for tomorrows game) Single game tickets bought online for the postponed January games are automatically refunded. Otherwise if purchased in person, you can obtain a refund from that particular box office.

Perhaps you’re asking, why the Foundation? And why should I buy a balloon? Here’s one reason why... In the early days of the Covid Pandemic, there was no existing way to monitor the oxygen levels of suspected or confirmed Covid patients. As the CEHHC is the Covid center for the Northern Zone, this was, and still is, of extreme importance. Very quickly, with the support of donors, the CEHHC Foundation stepped up with approximately $185,000 in equipment funding, which included nine remote oxygen monitoring systems, patient monitors and a portable ultrasound. This system is still in use now. It saved massive amounts of PPE, and more importantly, a lot of lives. Your support could also help save a life. Hi Everyone, Tomorrow, July 31st, the Provincial mandate requiring masks to be worn in all public indoor spaces takes effect. ( https://novascotia.ca/news/release/?id=20200724004 )... We will be requiring anyone who visits the facility to wear a mask unless they have a medical condition that would prevent them from doing so. You will not have to wear a mask while you are working out in the fitness centre, nor would you be required to wear one while participating in our group fitness classes. During these times a mask is optional.
