So, here's the question? The Current real estate decline in both volume of activity and value is being blamed on 1) Mortgage stress test 2) Money laundering. So what is being said is that if interest rates were to rise by 2% for real and money laundering was cleaned up that this is the market. Any thoughts on this?

If you've bought, or sold real estate since June 15th 2018 then you will be aware of all the new rules brought down by the Real Estate Council. Of course these new rules are being written by lawyers. A fellow Realtor has written the following that I wholeheartedly agree with: "In case the Council isn't aware--Real Estate sales have to be a "Win-Win" situation every single time or the sale doesn't happen! This is not an "adversarial" business--unlike the Legal field with a wi...nner and a loser. Buyers and sellers make their best offer, it's presented to the other side who counter-offers to what they would "like" to get, and so it goes back and forth until BOTH SIDES ARE HAPPY! No losers, both winners, and both achieve their goals. Realtors only get paid when both parties to a mutually achieved contract closes. No retainers, no fees for deals that didn't remove subjects---unlike lawyers, who apparently get paid regardless of the outcome". See more
