Goodbyes are never easy, especially when they're to this dude here. If you've dropped in to the wall within the last 4 years, hes likely given you some great advice which included "hold on", or ""dont let go". This, in turn, probably encouraged you to get stronger and keep working towards those ever so important goals you set for yourself, regardless of whether you were sending 5.7s or blacks and reds. If you see him around, wish him luck on his next adventure! You will be missed!
We're hiring! Red Rock is looking for a new member of our climbing staff for around 8-12 hours a week on evenings and weekends. Previous climbing experience is preferred. Applications can be sent to [email protected].

If you have been wanting to drop in and haven't yet, please make sure you are up to date with our new COVID-19 regulations. We look forward to seeing you!

BIG NEWS EVERYONE! We have the go-ahead to open our doors again on Wednesday, June 17th! We are so excited to see you all again! Our hours of operation will be: Wednesday: 5-9 Thursday: 5-9 Friday: 5-9 Saturday: 12-5... Sunday: 12-5 In order to maintain a high level of safety in our climbing facility, we will be making some changes. HANDWASHING: All visitors will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the building, and again upon entering the climbing area. To decrease the risk of spreading the virus, please keep your hands away from your face as much as possible. There will be no communal chalk available, or chalk rentals. The use of liquid chalk is encouraged, and is available for purchase at our facility. Bathrooms are only to be used in case of emergencies. We ask that you arrive at our facility already changed into your climbing clothes. Should you need to use washroom facilities, please use good handwashing technique upon exiting the washroom and when returning to the climbing area. SOCIAL DISTANCING: To allow for social distancing in our limited space, we will be restricting the number of individuals to 15 at any given time. Only two parents/guardians will be allowed to accompany one child. There will be a maximum of six climbers, one per wall, at a time. To decrease congestion in the climbing area, gym staff will clip children under the age of 16 into the autobelay system. Please remember to stagger yourself from others while entering and exiting the building to allow for physical distancing at points of entry. Try to open doors with your elbows and not hands if possible. All individuals in the facility will be required to wear a mask at all times. Please supply your own mask if possible, as we are unsure we will be able to provide masks to all at this time. Please remember to always follow direction from staff regarding safety and social distancing. SANITIZING: We will be increasing the frequency of sanitizing common areas and shared equipment, including tablets, counter spaces, phones, and debit terminals. Please return all rental equipment to staff members at designated areas.
We've been getting a lot of questions about when we will be re-opening. We are planning on staying closed a little while longer so that we may implement strategies to keep everyone as safe as possible. Stay tuned and we will make an announcement soon! We miss you all!
So far, 2020 has been a year filled with chaos, from COVID-19 to the current events down in the US. Climbing is meant to bring communities together, and yet is rarely a racially diverse sport. Climbing teaches us to learn from our mistakes so that we may move forward, and it is critical that we apply such principles to our daily lives. "Evoking long term change requires constant advocacy". Stop the hashtags, let's move towards change. http://www.kai-lightner.com/blog/we-need-more-than-hashtags
An important message to us all - success doesn't look the same to everyone. With quarantine changing our lives and our bodies, be mindful of how these changes are affecting your life and your mindset. Stay active, stay happy, and we look forward to seeing you all again! <3 https://www.outsideonline.com//beth-rodden-climbing-body-i
Are you looking for a fun way to stay in shape over the quqrantine? Are you bored and missing climbing? Check out our Quarantine Bingo!
