Did you know that majority of our suppliers ship to us in paper or cardboard? But sometimes items get shipped in plastic, especially glass items. We always make an effort to reuse where we can, but if it’s unable to have a second life, we place it into our @terracycleca box. At least we know this will be properly recycled and made into items such as park benches. Check them out - they have a box for everything in your household that is impossible to recycle! ....and there may or may not be a chip bag or two in here

Loving our new handmade soap dishes from @leslie.webb.studio in Ancaster. We carry a variety of woods, each giving a unique look. Black Walnut, Western Red Cedar and Spalted Walnut (My fav) in three different sizes. 3x5, 3x3 or a 4 hexagon!

Is your shower routine plastic free? Mines not! Mine is all about reusing and not purchasing a new bottle each time I run out. Is it a glamorous picture? Not even close. But it’s real life. And I choose to divert from the landfill. These functioning bottles have been in my shower since I started this low waste journey. The top rack, you may recognize that packaging. You’re right. That’s a squeeze top ketchup bottle. If we just try to change how we see items, we can find so many uses for them! And plastic IS a great option, a safe option, especially for the shower! Instagram won’t let me tag the products.
