This customer visited the shop with a bundle of their own cherry lumber and asked, "can you use this to make us a new live-edge top for our kitchen island?" Of course we can! This beautiful live-edge cherry kitchen island top measures 1-1/2" thick x 40" wide by 5' long and was finished with a top-quality hardwax oil topcoat. Here's another do-it-yourself project where the homeowners completely renovated their master bathroom with modern elements but were looking to add some extra warmth and character by way of a 1-1/2" thick live-edge solid maple vanity top. We all think that it turned out pretty nice! Live-edge vanity tops, counter tops, island tops, table tops, desk tops, shelving. Another custom prep table has moved through the shop and onto a local restaurant. Like most of our custom furniture jobs, this one started with a photo from the web with a request for a smaller footprint and a marble top. The first photo is the one they sent to us, and the rest are of the finished product. This prep table measures 24" wide by 36" long by 36" tall with beefy 3-1/2" square solid maple legs and top/bottom rails with through-tenon joinery. There's a bottom shelf... for storage and the top is a beautiful 1-1/4" thick slab of polished marble. At 175 lbs, this work table isn't going anywhere! Here is a solid white pine mantlepiece that we supplied, along with a couple of custom steel mounting brackets, to hang on the customer's beautiful brick fireplace. We have lots of different options for mantlepieces, rustic or modern, hardwood or softwood and with natural finishes or stained to match the decor. The majority of our custom furniture projects start with the customer sending us photos of items they've seen on the web, asking "can you build this, but a little bit different?" Here's another project where the customer sent some photos, along with specific dimensions and a stain colour to match their decor. Needless to say, they are very happy with their matching pair of custom night stands!

This customer reached out to us asking if we could build them a custom prep table for their local restaurant, of course we can! Measuring 24" wide by 6' long by 36" tall, this table has a solid 1-1/2" thick maple butcher block work surface and a solid maple shelf down below, all supported by a fabricated steel powder coated base - it is built to last! Here is a rustic harvest table that we built for a customer's new patio and outdoor living space. They were looking for a table with a top that had a weathered patina, no problem, we have plenty of that material on hand! This 36" wide by 8' long table is built from solid white pine, with a 1-3/4" thick top and beefy, tapered legs stained in black. We think it suits the space nicely, and so do they!
