Got front end all tore down for probably the 12th or 13th time after some pretty intense core support modifications to host all the new coolers for this big Duramax. Sandblasted all the parts. 2 coats of primer and 3-4 coats of paint. Will reassemble tomorrow!!! She’s getting real close now. Shouldn’t be too many obstacles left. But I like a challenge

Cold side intercooler tube is a little easier to deal with. Able to just add on to the Wherli tube and then use a straight boot out of cooler.

Hot side intercooler pipe I had to make. First 1/2 of it is 2 1/2 then flared to 3 to match intercooler inlet. Used as few bends as possible. Onto the cold/intake side pipe

Made a new kick plate for our door. Bottom was getting pretty beat from our shoes kicking the wood all the time. Sanded behind that section and stained a lighter shade to make the letters stand out.

Little rocker guard on lower body line and 2 up on front of hood. Sandblasted rust inside and outside of doors and on hood. Primer and black QwikLiner. Good save on this G5 stopping the spread of the rust that had started.

Sometimes it takes a little help to get the job done - sometimes the helpers don’t know when to be quiet ... but Dad always has a creative solution

Radiator brackets made for custom made radiator. Pushed as close to front of engine. A/C condenser mounted in front of radiator. Made horizontal mount for power steering cooler of drivers side of rad. Got trans cooler mounted on passenger side in front of A/C condenser. And then the treat of getting this lb7 intercooler mounted in place using its stock mounts. Was the largest intercooler I could fit in the front of this 1980 Chev. Hood latch just clears intercooler and every other cooler is sandwiched very close. Super happy with this so far. Onto getting all the hose made up for the smaller coolers. And then modifying the hot and cold side intercooler piping.

Working on a holiday. Out hunting in the am and spraying QwkLiner on the front of this new PJ dump trailer I’m the afternoon. Pic of after sprayed and before. Customer wanted to protect his new trailer for years to come. Love when people think like I do.

Should have done this at beginning of summer. Dump and filter plasma table water from water pan. Very dirty. Got some good 5 and 10 micron filters in line. Then can pump back in.

Finished this 2’ night light today for my daughters birthday gift.
