2020 has been a horrible year for so many. Our hearts go out to you all. I however, have so many people to thank. Greg and I have been going through trials, fear, the unknown and yet we were surrounded by love. For that this Thanksgiving I am totally thankful and grateful for the love of my family. My friends who have been around us with words of support and love. Without Sonya, Bev, Danica, Emile, Brian and Eric in the park we would not have survived. Please know that we lo...ve you all. Renfrew/OttawaWest KOA wishes all a thankful Canadian Thanksgiving. Try and find something, anything, big or small that you can be thankful for. Try and wrap your arms around even the smallest things in your life. Happiness is not based on the big things - it's always the little things that count the most. Love to you all - family, friends, co-workers, campers new and old. Angela and Greg Burgess See more

Darren has been a great addition to our park over the years and we're so sorry that this year he is absent. Pandemics do that. We wish you well Darren Boyd and certainly hope to see you back next year.
By far one of the best meteor showers of the entire year, the Perseid Meteor Shower reaches its peak for 2020 on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. On that night, the Perseids are expected to deliver around 100 meteors per hour, when viewed under ideal conditions. For the rest of the week, this number will ramp down - to maybe 60 meteors per hour the night after, 50 per hour the night after that, and so on. The typical viewer tends to see about half that number or perhaps one every minute or so.
What a beautiful day in the campground. The shade is beautiful. The splash pad is super refreshing and the lake is a blast.
We agree wholeheartedly with this message. We're here so you can experience all of this.
It was a messy weekend weather wise but nothing makes a camper happier than to just be outside, even in the rain. We hope everyone found some happiness and that they will stay with us again soon.
Well it's going to be a busy weekend for sure. It's also going to be very warm. Splash pad will get plenty of use I think. So will the beach. We remind everyone that we are still requiring social distancing, but we certainly hope to see lots of smiles and lots of happiness for the opportunity to be breathing in fresh air and sunshine.
What a great weekend. Our campers are amazing. Thank you all for maintaining social distancing, respecting the covid protocols and just smiling at the staff. Looks like you had a great time. Come back soon!
FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY OPEN!
Wish the sun was out more.
2021 will come before we know it.
Yes we still have our fingers crossed that this virus backs off soon. Stay healthy everyone and please remember to be considerate of others.
Please know in trying times we can get down or lose focus over what's important. We at Renfrew/Ottawa West KOA wish you all a very Happy Easter. We wish peace on everyone for this blessed day. We all have stories to tell, and concerns to share but please today call someone you love and can't be with, or look at the person you are with and remind yourself how lucky you really are.
We are asking all our campers to take a deep breath and relax. The last thing you should be worrying about is camping. Today is April 3rd. We are not scheduled to open till May 1st. When we get close we will re-assess government orders and see if we can mitigate some of the issues that concern them. We believe the size of our park gives people a perfect opportunity to get out of the city, maintain social distancing and allow your children and yourselves to get lots of fresh air and sunshine. Say a prayer, cross your fingers or have a glass of wine or even a beer. It's Friday. Enjoy your weekend. Say thanks to the frontline workers that keep us safe, offer us food and groceries, and say a prayer for all the healthcare workers.
We are humbled and so so proud of our staff. Thankyou to all who voted.
