Being #pregnant during the holidays, what do you eat? Oysters, foie gras, salmon, champagne... It's hard to find your way around and resist during the holidays! Quick tips on how to consume the star products of the holiday season: Champagne: big no, we opt for sparkling water or bubble water without alcohol;... Foie gras: yes if it is cooked and by making sure of the traceability to avoid the possible problems of germs of the artisanal foie gras; Raw oysters: no, like all seafood. But it is allowed to eat them cooked in the oven and grilled; Salmon: no, raw and smoked fish should be avoided because of the risk of listeriosis. Cooked salmon is allowed; Turkey stuffing: Yes, since it is a cooked food (as long as it has not been cooked and then served); Cheeses: It depends, always because of listeriosis. Soft cheeses (such as Camembert or Brie) should be avoided. Pressed or cooked cheeses can be eaten (like Emmental, Gruyère, Parmesan...) but make sure to remove the rind! Remember that cheese is a source of calcium, and is therefore recommended for pregnant women, The salad: Yes, as long as it is well washed (with vinegar!) Happy Holidays and good appetite to all !

Preimplantation Genetic Testing PGT is an evolving technology that is being used increasingly as part of the IVF process for patients. It involves the chromosomal analysis of the embryos generated during the IVF cycle. This way embryos that are put back into the uterus by your fertility doctor are known to be chromosomally normal. Cold weather, lack of sunshine, snow blocking your doors... Winter seems to last years in Canada. During these dark days, you may experience what is called the winter blues: lack of energy, glumness, difficulty sleeping and taking initiatives. In order to feel better, you should get more natural light, excercise, maintain a fixed schedule of your sleep and daily activities, spend time with your friends and family without forgetting taking time for yourself as well. If you recognize other signs such as difficulty to focus, constant fatigue, depressive thoughts on a regular basis, a decrease of motivation in terms of work and other activities, you may be experiencing the Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), which is more serious. If you suspect suffering from SAD, you should look for professional advices. #winterblues #mentalhealth

What is it? Epigenetics is the way we express our genes, influenced by our environment and lifestyle. During pregnancy, epigenetics has a direct effect on the formation of the unborn baby. A healthy and balanced lifestyle for the mother during pregnancy is essential. Tobacco, alcohol, nutrition or stress are just a few of these external factors. In truth, all environmental factors, such as sunlight, air quality, or physical activity affect how the child will develop.
