Nelson Spring Classic Tournament 2020
The floors are sanded and the lines re-painted. The courts look greAt. But the paint requires two days to fully dry. Therefore, the courts will remain closed till Monday at 4:00. Thanks to Zale, Chris, Philipe, Connor and Kevin for doing a great job.
Please note that the courts will be closed from tonight, Jan 24 at 5:00 pm and all of tomorrow, Jan 25. We are sanding the floors and repainting the lines. The paint on the floor will need time to dry. We ask that all members respect this closure so that we do not need to sand off the red paint that gets tracked on the floor from people playing before the paint is dry. Thank you all for your understanding. Newly sanded floors will greatly enhance the quality of the courts.

What a great fun event
The Golf Tournament is this weekend, July 27th. It is going to be amazing. We are at 60 players registered, and the silent auction is valued at more than $12,000. There will be some great deals. The golf tournament is $75, which includes 18 holes of Texas Scramble (team best ball) golf, dinner and prizes. All proceeds from the tournament will go towards our new squash and climbing facility. Message me for more info or to register.
Hi Everyone, For those of you who missed the match last night, you missed a great event. The guys put on a great show. But I just wanted to remind you of the Adult Clinic tonight from 6 to 8 pm. This is for players of all skill levels. This is a very rare opportunity to get some coaching from players of this caliber. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I am very excited to share the first draft of the main floor plans of the new club. The track and fitness area will be on the second floor. Ill share those when I get them. There will be some modifications and refinements, but this will give you the gist of what we are looking at
It was a great day at the farmers market, despite the rain. Sold a few hundred dollars worth of Raffle Tickets and a membership. Welcome to the club Matt.
Our Friends at the Nelson Squash Club are doing a fundraising raffle. I can think of a number of mountain bikers in our club who would love to win this prize!
Sophie has provided us a great reminder on the importance of wearing eye guards. Luckily, she was wearing eye guards. The positive is that a photo opportunity like this rare.
Hi Everyone, I am very happy to inform you all of some very exciting news about our new club project. We have now completed our MOU with the group that is donating the land to our project. So I can now confirm that Revelstoke Mountain Resort is donating land in the Resorts base area for us to build our new 4 court squash club and indoor climbing tower. Having the land in place is a massive step forward for this project. Now that we can talk openly about the location, we can start to really fundraise. We are working on the building plans and will hopefully have some drawings and images to share soon. This is really exciting news for our club.
The Four Racquet Denners at the Summerland Tournament. Thanks to Adam and the Interior Squash Academy for purring on a great event. Interior Squash Academy@adam TerHeege
We had some very good matches from the 4 of us who went to the Tournament in Summerland this weekend (myself, Sophie, Aiden and Conner). That was a really fun weekend as well. Sophie finished 3rd in the Bronze, Aiden won the Bronze Con final, and Conner and I both played hard and had fun (both won at least one match) in the Gold and Silver divisions. Next up is the Nelson tournament next weekend. Good luck to Zale and Lia who are both headed off to represent our club in that ...event. Also next weekend is the BC Junior Championships. Good luck to Aiden and Sophie who are both heading to the River Club in Richmond. Go get em you two. After that, the next tournament will be the Vernon Tournament April 12-14. As an added bonus, Jonathan Power will again be at the event. He will be playing an exhibition match and having a hit with any juniors at the tournament. Here is a link to the registration Page: https://www.sportyhq.com/tournament/registered/5514 Lets see if we can get a good sized gang headed to Vernon.
The Nelson Spring Tournament is only a few weeks away. Please see the attached poster for details. Anyone going?
It was a good fight, but Sophie lost the 3/4 final 3 games to 1
Sophie played hard, but lost in the semi finals. Playing for 3rd at noon tomorrow
Sophie has advanced to the Semi Finals at the PNW Junior Open Tonight. Will be a very tough match tonight. Scheduled for 7:20. Our interior teammate Ryan Vest has also advanced to the Semi Finals in U13 Boys
Sophies opening round match at the Pacific Northwest Junior Open went very well with a dominant 3-0 win (11-0, 11-3, 11-0). Very sharp performance.
To all Squash Players Everywhere, Our squash club is working on a plan to build a new Squash Facility in Revelstoke. Part of this process is the survey bellow. The stats that we collect in this survey will be used to demonstrate the viability of the facility. We would greatly appreciate it if squash players everywhere could support our club by filling in the survey indicating they would use the courts here when visiting Revelstoke. #squashbc #squashrepublic #interiorsquashac...adamy Revelstoke Athletic & Climbing and Squash Centre Visitor Survey - February 2019 REVELSTOKE, BC: On the heels of the highly successful Resident Survey the Revelstoke Athletic & Climbing Centre (RAAC) Advisory Group, with the support from the City of Revelstoke and the BC Rural Dividend Fund, is announcing a new visitor survey to investigate the needs, benefits and opportunities for a new, non-aquatic, multi-sport recreational athletic facility in Revelstoke.
