DECEMBER MARKET REPORT Sales were up over 41% over December of last year. New listings were down 47.9% over November 2020 and up 34% over last December. The average price for residential properties was $729,853, which was up 1% from last month and UP 25.4% from December 2019. The number of active listings available at the end of the month was down 52.5% compared to last year. Bottom line - Sales UP 41% and Prices UP 25%. This will continue. SEPTEMBER MARKET UPDATE Home sales are up 38% over last month and up 54% over September of last year. New listings are up 33% over August 2020 and up 8.5% over last September. The average price for residential properties in the Hamilton-Burlington area was $721,354, which is up about 4% from last month and up 20% from September 2019. The number of active listings for the month was down 40% over last year. Supply and demand. There are still more buyers than sellers and there is still a shortage of housing.
