FLU SHOTS AT RICHMOND MEDICAL As many of you may be aware, medical facilities are receiving limited doses of flu shots - these doses come in batches and are delivered to us periodically. Due to the limitation on the amount of doses we are receiving in each shipment, we are prioritizing our highest risk patients first. We have started immunizing our senior population using a parking lot vaccination model. Currently, we are OUT of high dose vaccines for our seniors! Once we re...ceive our next shipment, we will resume bookings for our senior population. Additionally, we will be attempting to prioritize other at risk groups, including families of children under 6 months and children between the ages of 1-4 years. Please continue to visit our website/facebook for updates on when we will be booking these. Are you between the ages of 5-65? Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you! Great news for parents! You can now submit your own Attestation note to your child's school if they have been sent home due to illness! This means one less trip to the doctor's office (or shall we say phone call?). Once your child has received a negative test OR isolated for 14 days - if they have ongoing symptoms due to known medical conditions you are able to fill out and submit this Ottawa Public Health Attestation for Return to School Following Student Illness note. Parents - GOOD NEWS! In our commitment to keeping you informed, we are sharing with you a new letter released by the OPH for use by parents! If your child has tested negative or has completed 14 day isolation and has persisting symptoms such as a runny nose - you can now submit this attestation letter directly to your school in order to bypass the need for a doctors note! DOCTORS NOTES Parents & students - you do NOT need a doctor's note to go back to school after receiving a negative test! According to OPH, as long as you have tested negative, you are free to return once symptom free for 24 hours! Our doctors can provide a note to confirm any existing medical conditions, however, all doctors notes will contain a disclaimer stating that your physician cannot rule out COVID19.

Flu season is upon us! We are gearing up for flu season at our clinic. Once we receive the flu vaccines from public health we will be making an announcement to our patients!

FLU SHOTS Please note we have not yet received our flu shots for the season. We will be sure to update our patients as soon as we begin administering flu shots!

SCHOOL NOTES Dear Parents, We know this is a frustrating time for many parents as children are return to schools and flu and cold season is looming. We continue to receive guidance from OPH, and are committed to sharing as much as we can with you to keep you informed. ... According to OPH you do NOT need a note from your doctor for your child to return to school if they have tested negative, once they are symptom free for 24 hours. If you choose not to get your child tested and they have exhibited at least 1 symptom related to COVID19 - they must self isolate for 14 days and be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school. It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that under the guidance of Public Health and the Ontario Medical Association, our physicians are unable to write a school related note ruling out COVID19 as a diagnosis for any patient. If your child needs a note explaining an existing medical condition please call our office to book an appointment - you will be booked for the next available appointment with your physician. We know this can be frustrating, as COVID19 symptoms amount to 18 in total, most of which can be linked to numerous other causes! However, the recommendation at this time stands: If your child is sick with even 1 matching symptom, getting them tested is the most efficient way to getting them back to school. We remain committed to communicating updates to our patients as we receive them in order to do our part during these stressful times. Need your FLU SHOT? We have not yet received flu shots for the season from Public Health! Once we are equipped for flu season and ready for our patients - we will be making an announcement!

Need a Prescription refill? Don't wait until you're out! Make sure to ask your pharmacist to fax us a renewal request as soon as you pick up your very last refill!
