Update: The snowflakes today are probably reminding us all about Christmas and spending time with family and friends. Sadly, some families are struggling this ...time of year. The women and children who rely on Transition House for shelter and support also deserve to have a good Christmas. We are continuing our fundraiser to help Transition House. They are in need of pyjamas and lego sets. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you to those who have helped so far. Please help if you can! The Bay Boys MRC proudly supports Cape Breton Transition House which provides crisis and outreach services to those affected by domestic violence. Due to the pandemic and public health restrictions, we are unable to host our annual Christmas Dance and Auction. All funds raised at that event went to help make the festive season more enjoyable for the families who turn to Transition House in their time of need. Our club has donated $500. We are also reaching out to our motorcycle community for donations and to the general public for support. The following items are needed (three sets each of pyjamas- boys size 14-16, men’s size small, medium, extra large) and Womens pajamas small , med and large sizes and gift cards to be able to purchase dinners for the clients and as well as LEGO sets. Well as soon as I said we are thankful for how little impact Teddy had, I lost power. Oh well, supposed to be restored by suppertime. Thanks to the storm crews working across NS to get folks back on-line, got to be uncomfortable outside all day and night in wind and rain.

Be safe today everyone, we are lucky that Teddy is no worse than it is, may we all make it out the other side without major damages.
