Everyone: Is the #RideauCanal Skateway going to be open this New Year's Eve? Us:
After the holidays, don’t throw out your tree! You have until January 4, 2021, to bring it up to the #RideauCanal Skateway Christmas Tree drop off so that it can be used as a decoration on the Skateway. Afterwards, the trees will be transformed into wood chips that will be used to replenish the various flowerbeds throughout the Capital! The drop off location is on Colonel By Drive, just west of the Bronson Avenue Bridge. See the map in the comment section
Do not venture onto the Rideau Canal surface: it is very dangerous. Respect the red flags, barricades and signs in place to ensure your safety. Springtime operations for the 2020 Rideau Canal navigation have begun. https://ncc-ccn.gc.ca//warning-not-to-venture-onto-the-rid
