Rideau Ferry Harbour 28.09.2020

Dear Boaters: The Premier’s announcement yesterday is very encouraging. His directive as outlined in the statement is as follows: Marinas may also begin preparations for the recreational boating season by servicing boats and other watercraft and placing boats in the water, but not open to the public. Boats and watercraft must be secured to a dock in the marina until public access is allowed. This means we can begin to place boats in the water however the marina will remai...n closed to the public and our boating family, therefore we ask that you do not visit the marina until we receive permission from the government that it is safe. Coming to the marina for any reason puts our staff at risk. We would ask that if you would like your boat placed in the water and in your slip that you communicate this clearly in an email to: [email protected]. Please do not telephone as our system can only hold so many messages and then becomes full. At this point, we are uncertain as to what adjustments will be necessary in the day-to-day operations of the marina and we may need time to implement any mandatory changes as the situation becomes clearer. We recognize that the unprecedented reality we face today is causing financial hardship across all communities. The Marina remains committed to maintaining its high standard and to continue to provide a dependable and secure facility for your boat. Marina staff are on site daily to ensure the safety and blocking of all vessels. At this time there is still no full-time staff in the office so we continue to ask for your patience as we try to respond to all of your concerns and/or requests. In the meantime Stay safe. Stay home. Stay healthy. Your Rideau Ferry Harbour Team

Dear Boaters, We hope you and your loved ones are well. As stated 2 weeks ago, we are updating you on our current state of affairs.... Unfortunately, the province of Ontario has just reissued their updated essential services list and as such we do not know when we will be able to put any boats in the water. We know many of you have sent emails and left messages however we ask for your patience as we will remain closed until further notice. As we all conform to the government's mandate and the constantly evolving situation, we ask that you please refrain from visiting the marina for the next two weeks. We are monitoring the marina daily and will ensure the boats in our care stay safe. We will keep you apprised of any updates or changes by email and through our Facebook page. In the meantime, take care and stay healthy. Sincerely, The Rideau Ferry Team

Dear Boaters: It is amazing to see the changes that our world has undergone over the past several weeks. It is hard to believe! At the same time, we want to assure everyone that we will be here for you. As we all face uncertainty, our priority is to care for our employees and to be there for our customers! We can confirm that we are recognized as an essential business and will be open and available to assist you and all of our customers. Although the marina is closed for... the next 2 weeks, we continue to plan for your spring launch and to serve your needs by email. We will update you as we move forward. The ice is melting, the birds are singing and we are so looking forward to seeing you all on the water this summer! We wish continued good health to each and every one of you. Sincerely, Your Rideau Ferry Harbour Team
