Hey Valued Clients! As we have all heard from the latest announcement from the government, Salon are now allowed to re-open on Friday. In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Ridgetown Salon will be following strict guidelines in order to protect the safety of my clients and myself. Here are the list of guidelines that will be in effect:... - Removing of non-essential high-touch items like magazines and toys. - Wash towels, robes and related items between clients, and dispose of non-washable items, like neck strips, between clients. - Regularly clean and disinfect high touch surfaces such as chairs and payment devices. - Stagger appointment times to enable distancing in waiting areas. - Leave a 15 minutes gap between appointment times to ensure workstations can be properly cleaned and disinfected. - Wearing of mask, gloves and face shield while working directly with clients. - Wash or sanitize hands before starting work, before and after each client, and after any other activity. - Provide hand sanitizer for client use as they enter and exit. - Door will be left open, I will not use Air condition but will open my ceiling fan to allow air movement. For my dear clients, I am also expecting for you to follow these list of guidelines: - Please wait outside or in vehicle and I will call/text you when a station is ready for you. - Call to book an appointment and avoid walk-ins. - Please do not make an appointment or cancel your appointment immediately if you are experiencing symptoms including cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat that are not related to pre-existing illness or health condition. - If possible please attend appointments unaccompanied, unless it's necessary (e.g parent or guardian). - Wear masks, if you don't have there would be mask available at my counter for $2/each. Please note that I will be increasing $2 on all of services offered. This is to cover all the extra disinfecting/cleaning and effort I will be doing to ensure everyone's safety. Thank you for your cooperation and please stay safe!

Ontario Extends Declaration of Emergency until June 30 #ckont In consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Ontario is extending the provincial Decl...aration of Emergency to June 30. The province says the decision supports the government's efforts to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak and protect the health and safety of Ontarians as the province reopens in a measured and responsible way. The extension, under s.7.0.7 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, was approved by the Ontario legislature earlier today. "Extending the provincial Declaration of Emergency will allow us to safely and gradually reopen the province, while we continue to use every resource at our disposal to battle this deadly virus," said Premier Doug Ford. "We are not out of the woods yet, so it is critical that we exercise caution to keep everyone safe, including protecting our most vulnerable citizens in long-term care homes, retirement homes and group homes." As Ontario charts a path to recovery, the government says the Declaration will support the continued enforcement of emergency orders that give hospitals and long-term care homes the necessary flexibility to respond to COVID-19 and protect vulnerable populations and the public as the province reopens. Current emergency orders include allowing frontline care providers to redeploy staff where they are needed most, enabling public health units to redeploy or hire staff to support case management and contact tracing, limiting long-term care and retirement home staff to working at one home, and preventing unfair pricing of necessary goods. The Declaration of Emergency may be further extended with the approval of the legislature, as set out in the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act. A full list of emergency orders can be found on the e-Laws website under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and at Ontario.ca/alert.
