Right to Hope 21.12.2020

What do you need to feel ok today? How are you building community when you ask for help? Yesterday I did a food exchange with my sister - banana bread for beef borscht. Sharing food fills one another's homes with the smell of love and our bellies with comfort of nourishment. Today, Tim and I went to Omand's Creek to practise my walking. We met a local resident that volunteers to reinforce the deteriorating walkways and thanked him for his work. ... It feels good to be connected and to stay connected during these especially isolating times. Giving thanks reminds us to notice what brings meaning to our lives even when we must accept circumstances beyond our control. Wishing each of you wellness and comfort Tell us what's helping you through your days.

To all of our friends, In response to the public health announcement on Friday, October 30th Right to Hope will remain diligent in our precautions and will follow all public health recommendations. As of Monday, November 2nd Right to Hope will be suspending some of our in-person services including recreational outings, non-essential errands, musical entertainment, Reiki treatments and any other services where the risk of contact outweighs its therapeutic benefit. Vehicle sha...ring will only be permitted for transport to essential appointments and in emergency situations. In-home support services will continue as follows: All of our clients will receive a personal wellness phone call within 24 hours prior to contact. This is to minimize the risk of transmitting ANY illnesses. Staff will be outfitted with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will follow handwashing, sanitation and physical distancing recommendations. Clients will be asked to wear a mask whenever a physical distance of two meters cannot be maintained, provided the face-covering does not interfere with our client’s requirements of care. A disposable mask will be provided for this purpose. All virtual services will continue. This is a great way to continue conversations that help to build connection and reduce the strain on mental health. We look forward to staying in touch and welcome your calls. We will take every precaution to keep you safe while providing you with the quality of care that you deserve. We understand the hardships that the new public health restrictions place on our clientele, our families and all of our fellow Manitobans. We will do our very best to be here to support you during this challenging time. With hopeful, and kind regards, Tim Founder of Right to Hope

Please, light a candle, say a prayer, and ask spirit to watch over our dear friend Mary. She is in hospital and our hearts are with her today.
