Thanksgiving dinner can present a number of different dangers for your pets. Here are a few foods to keep away from the pets in the household! Another thing to be careful of is any foods containing sugar substitutes, commonly labelled as ‘sugar free’. Most importantly, anything containing xylitol as a sugar substitute, as it’s lethal to your pets. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

We will be closed Monday, October 12th, for Thanksgiving Day! If you need to refill your pets medication or food, please do so ahead of time and allow 24-48 hours for refills although we will try our best to refill them sooner if we can! Our incoming lines can be quite busy, so we encourage you to place any food orders through our vet store (link in bio) for in-clinic pick up or delivery to your door. ... Please contact the Animal Emergency Clinic of Durham in Whitby at 905-576-3031 if your pet needs medical attention while we are closed. https://www.myvetstore.ca/ritsonveterinaryclinic
