Rival Boxing Gym Halifax History Version Française Rival Boxing Gym Halifax opened its doors for the first time in 2017. A former amateur boxer, Brad Ross earned his stripes for about fifteen years in Cape Breton, where he was the head coach of a boxing gym.... In the early 2000s, Brad moved to Halifax. With his passion and love for the sport ever-present, he wishes to open a gymnasium in his new homeland. He then contacts his longtime friend Russ Anber, CEO of Rival Boxing Gear. The two met in the early 1990s, when Brad was still a competitor. Sharing the same values and passion, they quickly hit it off and decided to move forward with a partnership to create Rival Boxing Gym Halifax. Brad Ross is now the head coach of the gym, in addition to being the head of the Nova Scotia High Performance Boxing Department. The gymnasium covers nearly 3,000 square feet and accommodates both recreational boxers and top-level competitors. Brad Ross and his team are entrepreneurs and love to make a difference. They have also set up certain competitions, including an international competition which has made boxing shine throughout the region. Even Rival Boxing Gym OKC participated! C’est en 2017 que Rival Boxing Gym Halifax ouvre ses portes pour la première fois. Ancien boxeur amateur, Brad Ross a roulé sa bosse pendant une quinzaine d’années au Cap Breton où il était entraineur en chef d’un gymnase de boxe. Au début des années 2000, Brad déménage à Halifax. Passionné de boxe, ce dernier souhaite ouvrir un gymnase sur sa nouvelle terre d’accueil. Il contacte alors son ami de longue date Russ Anber, CEO de Rival Boxing Gear. Les deux se sont rencontré au début des années 1990, à l’époque ou Brad était encore compétiteur. Partageant les mêmes valeurs, ils s’entendent rapidement et décident d’y aller de l’avant avec un partenariat pour créer Rival Boxing Gym Halifax. Brad Ross est aujourd’hui entraineur en chef du gym en plus d’être à la tête du département de la haute performance de boxe de la Nouvelle-Écosse. Le gymnase couvre près de 3000 pieds carrés et accueille autant les boxeurs récréatifs que les compétiteurs de haut niveau. Brad Ross et son équipe sont entreprenants et aiment faire bouger les choses. Ils ont d’ailleurs mis sur pieds certaines compétitions dont une compétition internationale qui a fait rayonner la boxe dans toute la région. Le Rival Boxing Gym OKC y a d’ailleurs participé!
