The Foundation and the Auxiliaries have much to celebrate. Val Grant of Rainy River is auctioning off her never winter driven 1987 Nissan Mirca with proceeds being donated to the Riverside Foundation to be directed to the Rainy River Health Centre. At 33 years old, this car only has 138,000 km's on it!... Get in on the bidding on the Facebook page below! Auction closes October 31st.

On Saturday the Redrum Motorcycle Club First Nations Chapter Treaty #3 ON presented us with a cheque for $2,066! The funds were raised at their first annual Poker Rally held on September 19th and equal donations were also made to the UNFC and the Bear Clan Patrol Fort Frances. In April, the Rainycrest Auxiliary completed their pledge of $31,853.11 for the purchase of a new hot food table, 10 resident room chairs, and 12 each of mattresses, dressers and nightstands for resident rooms. We had plans to see all the new furniture and take a picture when their pledge was complete, but COVID-19 had other plans. We can't wait to see the furniture in person, but in the meantime, we had a quick visit with some Auxiliary members including Shelia McMillen, Jun...e Caul, and Diane Maxey outside of Rainycrest on a beautiful fall day! Thank you so much to the Rainycrest Auxiliary for your continued support! We look forward to the day that you are able to resume operations and get back to supporting the residents in the many ways that you do!
