Annual withdrawals for our Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) program will be on September 28th. If you were enrolled in the program with West Hants prior to consolidation and have not confirmed your setup in the new West Hants Regional Municipality, please contact Colleen OBrien at 902-798-8391, Ext. 138. Anyone who submitted a completed PAP application after August 28th will not see their first annual tax payment withdrawal until September 28, 2021.

This afternoon at approximately 1:03 p.m., RCMP responded to a collision between a pickup truck and transport truck on Hwy. 101 near Falmouth. EHS and local are...a fire departments also responded. The driver of the pickup, an adult male from Kentville, was transported to hospital by EHS with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the transport truck was not injured. The truck was carrying empty vegetable crates. The investigation is ongoing. An RCMP Collision Analyst is on scene. The highway remains closed and is not expected to reopen until this evening. Traffic is being diverted at Exit 6 and Exit 7. File # 20201376161

Dont forget to make sure your gates, doors and windows are secure.
