Worked on our half pass and of course are building up those canter transitions. Our little grid was still up so we popped over that ! And ended our ride with a long stretchy trot Note of the day: don’t take advantage of the try your horse gives you

Ignore my big jacket and look at how cute he is over the new big boy jumps. He handled everything so well today

Definitely a step up from our usual buckets! These are made from the old boards our horses have kicked down off our fence

This weekend was one of the most incredible times I’ve ever spent with horses, I was so lucky to be able to meet an awesome group of people. Everybody really put their best foot forward and not one horse went home without learning something new. Thank you so much @dannorthrup and @kathleen_arrowsmith for putting on a amazing clinic, I cannot wait to work with you two again in the future

This is so weird to see, these two pictures were taken almost one year apart.

This is Apollo We have had him for almost three years, we have been working hard this summer smoothing out our lumps and bumps. We have had quite the rocky start, we didn’t know how aggressive he was until he arrived home and I ended up hurt twice. This our first time back working in the same area I was hurt in, this would be why he has on the grazing muzzle. His first tendency is to bite and when you discipline him his reaction is very aggressive. I wanted to be able workin...g with him on not reacting but responding with my pressure. So we can start addressing the biting without having a huge reaction from him. With any other horse I wouldn’t suggest using tools to just cover up the problem because how can you address the action if you never let them make it in the first place. But this is a different scenario and everyone is trying to stay safe. I have learned it’s okay to progress using steps. See more
