Fun Fact: Thailand is home to over 40,000 Buddhist temples! There’s a good chance you’ll never see them all in your lifetime, but if you need to be choosey, Wat Arun is definitely one you should see. The temple, named after Aruna the God of Dawn, sits on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and to say a stunning site is putting it lightly. It towers over 79 meters tall and is covered in colorful porcelain and ceramic tiles. It’s worth the visit while you’re in Thailand. Have you ever visited a Buddhist temple?

PUZZLE SOLVED! A couple of you figured it out within a few minutes of each other. Are you talking to each other?! The Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg was opened in December 1913 and was built by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. It is located one block from the railway's Union Station and was the tallest structure in Winnipeg when built. Like other Canadian railway hotels it was constructed in the chateau style. It was very luxurious, it even featured what wasn't common at the ...time, each guest room had it's own bathroom! Why did I chose the Fort Garry Hotel for a puzzle close to Hallowe'en? Hallowe'en always has me thinking of ghouls and goblins and folklore says the Fort Garry Hotel is haunted! You can find a number of ghost stories online about happenings at the hotel. The most common by far is that room 202 is haunted by a young female who lost her partner in an auto accident and grief stricken, she hung herself in the closet of the room. She reportedly has been seen sitting on the bed in the room waiting for her lover. Whether you believe in ghosts or not the Fort Garry Hotel is a grand old hotel in downtown Winnipeg and if you want to stay there or in any other hotel we can help with that!

According to neworleans.com, Creole apothecary, Antoine Peychaud invented the Sazerac in his shop on Royal St. in 1838. He first served it to his fellow Masons after hours in an egg cup a coquetier a word that is said to have morphed into cocktail. The name of the drink came from Peychaud’s favorite French brandy, Sazerac-de-Forge et fils. At some point later on, American rye whiskey was substituted for the cognac and, in 1873, bartender Leon Lamothe added a dash of Absinthe. But, due to the outlaw of Absinthe, Peychaud’s special bitters was soon substituted in its place. Take a sip and start dreaming about New Orleans and its southern hospitality. Over the years, its people have opened their arms to visitors from all over the world, and they’re ready to welcome you! And, when the time is right, we’re here to help you get there.
