For those who follow my posts, or who have been actively involved with me over the past year or two for real estate assistance, you know that it is a Sellers market in Ottawa and prices continue to rise as demand outstrips supply. Well many real estate markets in Canada are now in sellers market territory. One thing really jumped out at me in this January 2021 Housing Market Report from the Canadian Real Estate Association. Yes, 2020 was a record year for housing sales in Canada, but since they started keeping data on MLS, the housing supply in Canada has never been recorded below 100,000 listings as it was on January 1st of this year! Just crazy!

I know some friends, and clients that will be very happy with these average residential sales prices numbers for December 2020 year to date compared to December 2019 year to date numbers! If the start to January 2021 is any indication, numbers are going to be even stronger in 2021!

According to this Livabl article, going to be another tough year for #homebuyers in many #Canadian Housing Markets.

Congrats to one of my investor buyers who picked up a new Mattamy stacked condo just before the end of the year. Stacked condos are growing in popularity in Ottawa, and are a great investment option. New builds are one of the many real estate related items realtors can assist you with.

Townhomes are increasing in value in #Ottawa at a rapid rate and providing many townhome owners an easy move up financially to a #detachedhouse. If you own a #townhouse you might want to give me a call to find out what your townhouse is worth.

Hard to imagine green across the board in the Canadian housing market in this crazy year! Check out this map from the Canadian Real Estate Association. I know some of my early in the year home buyers, are already reaping the benefits. I believe another very strong year ahead for the Ottawa market.
