All guests need to be finished up and moving on, by 10 pm. Reservations can be made online and we will notify you the day of, if we plan to close. There’s a firepit, no heaters, no tent, bring a warm coat, blanket, the Oysters taste better cold anyway. Over the past weeks we've received questions concerning our position on what's happening in Nova Scotia between commercial and Mi'kmaw fishers. We want to be clear - we do not condone the violence that has occurred, and our lobster shipments have been halted for several weeks. The Bar is open! The Bar is the best seat in any Oyster house, and one of our great sadnesses is that we haven't been able to seat it, because of the global pandemic and all. But now we're staffed up and ready to go. There will be a few changes from what you're used. Social distance, groups of two only, and for the first time, reservations to sit. (For now, this is the best way to bring the best part of the House back to life just a little bit, without infecting any of us or ...of you with disease). It won't look like the picture here. Eddie Shack is dead... and I am very sad to hear the report! Not only an exceptional athlete, but the colour he brought into my life and the Oyster world was brilliant and massive. So many stories erupted off his visits and his unique aura.... To Norma, our heart felt thoughts, please! What will she do, so much less picking up after the whirlwind went through! 23 will live on in stories and memory. His latest effort is on my coffee table. My memories and please my deep thoughts of what a marvel he was for this country. Family, as mine, might have some conflicting stories to debate , but the man was who he was.... and HE WAS!
