Today, November 19th, is the first annual Children's Grief Awareness Day. The importance of supporting children through their grief and loss journey cannot be overstated. The Canadian Alliance for Grieving Children and Youth exists to raise awareness about this and to "ensure that grief and bereavement support and information is accessible to all grieving children and their families and the professionals that support them across Canada."

Welcome to our newly renovated Playroom at Roger Neilson House, now known as the Louise Birkett Krapf and Rolf Krapf Playroom! Featuring so many new aspects to better meet the needs the children currently in our care, as well as including a meaningful art installation to honour those who were gone too soon.

World Kindness Day is today! We celebrate all the amazing acts of kindness - big and small - that fill Roger Neilson House with joy and love every single day.

National Bereavement Day takes place every year on November 17th. This year's focus is on the added challenges that have been brought on by the pandemic for those on their bereavement journey. We have worked hard at RNH to ensure our bereavement services can continue to be delivered in unique ways to support the families in our care.
