I can’t wait to show my father this! He retired after 32 years of service with the Moncton Fire Dept. I told him I would love to have an old fire hydrant for my furry clients and the next week he delivered it. A little TLC and it looked amazing again.

This is Lady and she celebrated her 14th birthday this month!!!! Isn’t she adorable ?!?

I just love Charlie girl. She acts like she’s getting dropped off to her own funeral when her humans are here. They aren’t even out of the driveway and she’s laying on the grooming table happy as can be giving me the look. The look that says hurry up hooman! Make me beautiful !

So the other day Rosco seemed to be trying to clear his throat . It sounded like a cough but as if he had something stuck in his throat. I told Cory to give him a few of those crunchy cheesies and maybe it would help dislodge whatever it was. ( nothing was obstructing his airway ) A few cheesies. A few minutes later Cory sent me this video. I was like WTF?! How many cheesies did he give him??? I then got a text saying Rosco finished most of the bag then had a nice drink of... water . I could eat him right up. He’s just the cutest.

Now if this isn’t the face of a dog living his best life, I don’t know what is. Rosco loves his special time with his Mama. Can you tell??

Could Rosco be any more handsome?! I didn’t think so.... until I saw him next to our sunflowers! When you see Rosco AND sunflowers how can you NOT smile??? Happy Labour Day!!

I did not write this and the author is unknown but I had to share it. This is the funniest AND most realistic description of being owned by a Newf that I’ve ever read. **HOW TO PREPARE YOUR HOME & FAMILY FOR A NEWFOUNDLAND**... 1) Lift an 70kg bag of wet sand up and down the stairs 2) Push an 70kg bag of wet sand into your car 3) Smear hair gel all over your walls and throw it on the ceiling and TV, while you're at it, smear the lower half of all windows, curtains and glass 4) Rub fur and gel into the roof of your vehicle 5) At least twice daily, drop that 70kg bag of wet sand on your bare foot 6) Shake balls of fur, mulch, and a bucket of dirt all over your house daily (add water for rainy days) 7) Practice repeating NEWFOUNDLAND, about 70kg8-10 cups a day"no, I don’t have a saddle over and over with a smile Volunteer at the zoo to help wash the large animals and clean up their poop 9) Invite your friends over and have them all try to get in the bathroom while you are using it 10) Practice telling people that your husband does NOT beat you, that those bruises are from your dog! 11) Take a nice long piece of rubber hose and go around smacking all the coffee mugs off the end-tables and hit any close male where he doesn't like to be hit and smack your own legs a few times too 12) Have someone operate a chain saw at the foot of your bed all night...record this and play it every night close to your ear (Author Unknown) I must also add, be prepared for the most amazing big love bundles to ever to walk the earth

The girls know leave it very well but it’s still something I practise with them regularly. It’s probably one of their least favourite things to practise ... especially when I’m telling them to leave their momma burgers from A&W.

Look what arrived when the girls were having their bath! BULLYMAKE

Daisy seems to be going through another one of her growth spurts this week! Most Newf owners will tell you that you really can’t be sure of a Newfs final size/weight until they reach the age of around three. She just turned 2 years old and it still amazes me how much she can change during these growth spurts. In the last week here on vacation, I’m sure at least 25 people have approached us. They said they actually had to come up to us because from where they were they thought sure she was a bear. Yes, because there have been so many bear sightings on the beach.

Pretty sure this is one of the best slo motion videos I’ve taken of the girls. Omg they make me laugh.
