Dear Friends, Our 2020 summer season is coming to a close. The last day of the Rose Garden Cafe will be this Sunday, August 30.... In other words, we will be closing in five days. We want to genuinely thank all of our employees, all of our customers, family, friends and community for supporting us, working with us and enjoying us while we were allowed to be open this year. It truly has been a remarkable summer in so many ways. We look forward to serving you while we are still open--Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week. As always, it is our deepest pleasure.

As we begin preparing for opening tomorrow, let it be said one last time for everyone's peace of mind. The Rose Garden Cafe and Lakeside Park do not have Covid, people are the carriers, not places. None of our employees have Covid. ... The person in Nelson who tested positive is not a Rose Garden Cafe employee and has not entered the premises. No one needs to be concerned about continuing enjoying the cafe. We were never the problem. I hope all rumours and misconceptions can finally and respectfully be put to rest. All our employees are highly trained, super scrubbed, well protected and behind plexiglass. We follow the highest standards of any ministry regulations for covid. So we post now on behalf of all of us, in Nelson, as a current reminder, encouragement and refresher. It is each and everyone's personal responsibility to remember to follow the BC Covid protocols to help the spread of Covid in our community to protect oneself, others, family and friends and community members and stay safe: 1. Stay at home and keep a safe distance from people in your household when you have cold or flu-like symptoms, including: coughing, runny nose, sore throat, fatigue. 2. No handshaking or hugs with people outside of your bubble 3. Wash hands regularly 4. Keep hand sanitizer with you at all times. 5. Avoid touching your face 6. Always cough and sneeze into the fold of your elbow 7. Disinfect frequently touched surfaces 8. Maintain physical distancing as much as possible when in the community 9. Where physical distancing is not possible, wear a mask or face covering. Hope this is helpful. We're in this together Kindly and compassionately.
