New on our shelves in Junior Fiction: The Dear Canada series! This series invites readers into the intimate worlds of girls throughout different times in Canadian history. It showcases Canada’s most distinguished children’s authors who recreate some of the most dramatic events from our diverse history in order to foster historical education in young readers. These were some of my favourite when I was in elementary school!

We’re ready for the holiday season! We’ve brought in some festive, cozy, and romantic books for the occasion! With all the snow outside, it’s a perfect time to cuddle up with a good book!

CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL GAMES WEEK! Wheatland Family Bingo: Nov. 9, 10, 12 and 13, 10AM Families: We’ll be playing traditional bingo. To register send an emai...l to [email protected] and tell us how many players in your household. Swag prizes may be picked up at a Wheatland Branch. There will be four games every morning on Nov. 9, 10, 12 and 13 beginning at 10AM. The cards will be emailed a few days before the event and you will receive a Zoom meeting link via email at 9AM on the day you signed up to play. International Games Week is an annual celebration of games, play, libraries and learning. This free event grew out of an idea to attempt to set a world’s record for the number of people playing the same game at the same time at libraries around the world in 2007. As of Monday, November 16th, if you do not have a mask, we ask that you do not enter the library. This is in accordance with the Government of Saskatchewan's new Public Health Order. If you do not have a mask but wish to check out library items, we can offer you curbside service. This means you will need to call us ahead of time (882-3566) so that we can safely pass the items into the front entryway for you. We'd also like to thank our patrons for being diligent about wearing masks and sanitizing/following social distancing guidelines within our library. Let's continue working to keep one another safe! Good morning! Thanks to the lovely people in our central office programming department, we have a variety of free take-and-make craft kits for our patrons! These kits will be sure to help you and your young ones pass the time in creative and fun new ways! See photo for what we have to offer at the moment. We are on curbside service, but if you'd like some kits just let us know and we'll grab them for you!

LIBRARY RE-OPENING! Great news! Rosetown Centennial Library will be officially re-opening to the public on Monday, October 5th! Some things will be a little bit different than you remember, though... Our hours will be adjusted M-W 11:00 am-5:00 pm; Thursday 11:00-6:00; Friday 11:00-5:00; closed on the weekends. PLEASE NOTE: Curbside service is still being offered at this time if you do not feel comfortable entering the library. Just phone ahead or send an email prior to you...r arrival. MASKS REQUIRED WHILE INSIDE THE LIBRARY! There will be a maximum of 10 patrons allowed inside at any one time to maintain social distancing guidelines; 5 in the family/kid's area, 5 in the adult fiction sections. We ask that you please limit your browsing time to 15 minutes per patron. Two public computers are available for use by appointment ONLY. Your time will be limited to 30 minutes per patron. Washrooms are not available to the public at this time. Thank you for your continued patronage through our curbside period and we look forward to seeing you all again!!
