Dunno what you just caught? Call em Chinooks, Springs, or Kings, the one sure way to tell if that's what you've got is by looking at the gums. Sometimes different kinds of salmon can be hard to tell apart. But, Chinook salmon will always have black gums. Often they also flash a bronzy, copper colour along the sides and back too but black gums is the sure fire tell. Great day on the water with Brad, Amanda, and their two Frenchies.. Got a few, lost a few, and had a lot of laughs on a perfect, flat calm, hot, sunny day!
