Congratulations to the Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation, this years recipient of a CPRA Award of Merit. MITC was nominated by RPAN in recognition of their outstanding contributions to RPAN and our communities in the recreation sector. Support from the Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation enables RPAN to better support youth in training, leadership development and employment through our summer day camp and winter youth programs!

Due to the current COVID-19 situation in Nunavut, RPAN is postponing our online youth leader training scheduled next week for LTW - After School Program, and the following week for the Teen Intramural program. Training will resume when it is safe to do so. Stay Safe Nunavummiut!!!!

RPAN is pleased to be launching our first ever FITMOM program for pre-natal and post-natal fitness programs. With grants from the Canadian Recreation and Parks Association (CPRA) and Sport and Recreation Nunavut, and leadership from FITMOM founder Andrea Page...FITMOM will be hosted in Cambridge Bay, Taloyoak, Gjoa Haven, Baker Lake, Igloolik, Kinngait, Iqaluit and Sanikiluaq! Communities have received training, yoga mats, water bottles and programs on USB sticks. And in the mail are FITMOM t-shirts and baby bundle donations from the Jabez Blanket Ministry!

Thank you to the Jabez Blanket Ministry...communities participating in the FITMOM's program are receiving beautiful "Baby Bundles"!! Each bundle holds lovingly made baby blankets, teddy bears, clothing, hats, socks, booties and other items. Communities are also receiving FITMOM participant t-shirts from RPAN! Baby Bundles and t-shirts are in the mail!!!!!
