Voici un aperçu de quelques faits saillants : Geneviève Gauthier, directrice nationale services de consultation chez Econoler, a animé une discussion sur les façons d’élaborer une stratégie de gestion des émissions de carbone, sur le rôle de l’e...fficacité énergétique et sur les façons de tirer profit des marchés de services énergétiques. Au début de la nouvelle année, SAC et SPAC ont abordé le sujet de l’approvisionnement autochtone et des façons dont les politiques actuelles peuvent avoir un impact sur la participation des entreprises autochtones. Les participants à cette session ont pu profiter d’informations et d’outils leur donnant accès à des opportunités d’affaires, et leur fournissant les connaissances nécessaires pour développer leur propre approche en matière d’approvisionnement autochtone. À peine une semaine plus tard, Stantec a animé une session portant sur l’art du possible et les façons d’exploiter l’analyse de données pour obtenir des résultats concluants. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic made it clear that not all of the infrastructure within our communities is prepared for a disruptive event. From simple things like the width of our sidewalks to more complex issues like our space for growing medical testing capacity, the infrastructure we have in place doesn’t have the flexibility to meet the demands of a disruptive event. How do we design infrastructure differently to meet these changing demands? Can we incorporate more mobile infrastructure, or do we need to focus more on flexible spaces? We’ll explore these issues and more as we look to re-design infrastructure to ensure we are ready for the next disruptive event.

Atelier national de 2020 sur les sites contaminés fédéraux de l'IBIC 8 au 10 juin dans la ville de Québec, Québec Nous surveillons la situation au Québec de très près. L'IBIC réévaluera les options avec le Centre des congrès d'ici la mi-avril et déterminera si l'atelier peut avoir lieu ou s'il sera reporté. Veuillez noter que nous n'accepterons aucune nouvelle inscription pour cet atelier avant de savoir si l'événement aura lieu. RPIC Workshops and COVID-19 The Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) is committed to the well-being of our community and recognizes its responsibility to protect the safety, health and well-being of our workshop delegates, partners, staff and operational personnel. The status of RPIC's currently scheduled training offerings are as follows:... 2020 RPIC Marine Infrastructure National Workshop - POSTPONED This Workshop is being postponed to May 4-6, 2021. 2020 RPIC Federal Contaminated Sites National Workshop June 8-10 in Quebec City, QC We are monitoring the situation in Quebec very closely. RPIC will re-evaluate options with the Convention Centre by mid-April and determine to decide if Workshop can proceed or will be postponed. Note that we will not be accepting any new registrations for this Workshop until we know if the event will proceed. 2020 RPIC Real Property National Workshop November 24-26 in Ottawa, ON Planning for this Workshop will continue as scheduled. The Call for Presentations will be launched within the coming weeks with an aim to have the program confirmed by the summer.
