Good evening everyone, This weekend was the Wissota annual meeting which was held via a Zoom video conference call on Saturday. I had previously mentioned that I would get back to everyone with an update on the Wissota sanctioning for the Pure Stock class, and this is how things stand right now. The following is a copy taken from meeting minutes in September:... NORTHERN PURE STOCK REGION Blair Bodley (Red River Coop Speedway) and Mark Wytaske (Chateau Speedway) had both asked that the 2020 season not count against their three year phase-in program for Pure Stocks. After discussion, board consensus was to extend the program for both. The 2020 race season will not count in our grandfather period, so that deadline is now extended to the end of the 2022 race season. The biggest reason for the grandfathering in period is the simple fact we run 350's and Wissota mandates 305's. There is a mutual effort on both sides to find away to make this work, but at the end of the day, if they can't allow 350's in the class, we simply opt out for the start of the 2023 season and run the rules we are currently running. I've talked to Les McRae and Anthony Leek, and all 3 of us would like to leave the rules intact for the 2021 season. If the Pure Stocks as a group would like me to set up a Zoom meeting to discuss future planning for the class, I'd be more than willing to do so.
