The City of Calgary passed a Bylaw just over a week ago making masks or face coverings mandatory in Public spaces as we are sure all of you are aware. This Bylaw has also been revised to include Residential common areas. As a result, Guards are required to be wearing mask or face covering at all times during their shift. If you are on a site where the desk is in an Office and you are alone, you have the option to not wear the mask while in the Office. However, anytime you are... in a common area or dealing with an issue; you need to be wearing your mask. This applies to being outside as well, unless you can comfortably deal with a situation from 6 feet away. It is imperative that we wear a mask at all times as this is a rule we need to adhere the same way we would enforce any other bylaw. At the same time, let us help educate others to follow the rules. If you have an issue with wearing a mask, or have any further questions please reach out to Management right away. Thank you
By now, most of you are aware of the mandatory mask bylaw that was implemented by the City of Calgary today, August 1st, 2020. All persons must wear a face covering in indoor public premises and in public vehicles.

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team has been called in following an officer-involved shooting in downtown Calgary. At approximately 2:50 p.m., on Saturda...y, Oct. 19, 2019, officers were supporting an ongoing parade in the area of the 600 block of 8 Avenue S.W., when a vehicle travelling north on 6 Street, turned east on 8 Avenue S.W., around barriers, heading towards the parade. Officers attempted to block the car with their patrol vehicle, at which point the suspect vehicle did a U-turn, attempting to flee. Officers engaged the vehicle and shots were fired. The shooting occurred at 6 Avenue and 8 Street S.W. The vehicle continued a short distance to 6 Avenue and 6 Street, where it collided with a bystander vehicle, before coming to a stop. The driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle were taken into custody. Both were injured during the shooting and have been transported to hospital in stable condition. The occupants of the bystander vehicle were not injured. Officers and pedestrians were not injured during the incident. It is believed that the vehicle was stolen. It is not yet known what the motivation for the near collision with the parade was. Roads in the area are expected to remain closed for some time. Case #19452051
